12:35 Belarus plane downed in Somalia; crew survives

A Belarus-owned cargo plane Ilyushin 76 was shot at when on final track to land at a Somalian airport. The aircraft was aparently hit by a surface-to-air missile or a granade launcher. The crew managed to land the plane, althought the fuselage was seriously damaged. The Belarusian pilots are reported to survive the attack.

A Belarus's aviation authority delegation together with the representatives of the insurance companies took off to Somalia to investigate the incident, according to Interfax.
