13 arrested women on hunger strike in Belarus prison

Belsat TV correspondent Tatsiana Bublikava is leading 12 more women on a hunger strike in the 8-people prison cell in the Minsk District detention facility, journalist's lawyer Larysa Atamanchuk told the press service of Belarusian Association of Journalists (BAJ).
The hunger strike was caused by unbearable conditions in detention.

Bublikava was sentenced to 10 days of arrest for taking part in the protest action on December 19. Tatsiana and her lawyer are set to appeal this verdict in Minsk City Court, because the journalist admitted her guilt in the lower court and was ready to pay a fine.
