1322 people, mostly drug addicts, die of AIDS in Belarus
AIDS has claimed 1322 deaths in Belarus, with 72.5 percent of the victims described as drug addicts. The Belarusian health officials said that as of May 1, 2008 slightly over 9000 HIV positive cases were registered in the country. 349 patients, mostly young people aged between 15-29 years old, tested positive in the first four months of the year, reports Interfax.
