18 people detained for participation in December 19 actions appeal against sentence

The hearing took place in Minsk City Court on December 24. The final court’s decision for one of them, Syarhei Rodchankau, will be announced on December 28. The reason for it was the fact that the court had to consider all the evidence presented by the lawyer. There were videos and witnesses’ reports who claimed that Rodchankau had not taken part in the action on December 19. Syarhei’s lawyer Hanna Stralkova hopes that the court will consider the presented materials. She said it in an interview with Euroradio.

Stralkova: "I think that the court will study the materials presented by the defense and will not only study the protocols and reports. Let us hope for the better”.

The lawyer says that the court’s decisions concerning the appeals of the other detained will depend on verbal evidence.
