18m-high waterpump tower stolen in eastern Belarus

The police in the town of Krychau, Mahilyou region have tracked down two criminals who stole a 18m-high waterpump tower, Roman Posakhau, spokesman for the regional administration, told the European Radio for Belarus. Three local residents used gas welding to disassemble the tower and were about to smuggle it in pieces as scrap into Russia, but the local security services thwarted the deal. The three men are facing criminal charges of theft.
