1st Congress of Belarusian Scientists opens in Minsk
Over 2000 delegates are attending the 1st Congress of Belarusian Scientists that opened on November 1 in Minsk. The list of participants includes the representatives of the Academy of Sciences, universities, various ministries and government agencies and largest enterprises from across Belarus, reports Belapan. 500 foreign scientists from Russia, Ukraine, Lithuania, China, Germany, Venezuela and other countries are also invited as guests.
The delegates will today take part in the meetings at ministries and governmental agencies and will also familiarize themselves with the scientific and technical achievments exibited at the Science and Innovations in Belarus exhibition at the BelExpo Center in the Belarusian capital.
On Friday, the delegates will gather at the Palace of the Republic to attend a solemn meeting. The president of Belarus is expected to address this scientific audience.
