223 officials were subjected to responsibility in Brest Region last year.

“Respondents in these cases were 2 KGB members, 11 policemen and 45 customs officers. According to Brest Region Office of Public Prosecutor, their abuse resulted in the loss of more than 270 million roubles.

Power abuse, bribery and blunders in declaring their and their close relatives’ property are among the widest-spread violations”.
