250 villages disappeared from Vileika District
A memorial “Vanished villages of Vileika District” will be created in Vileika. Its future spot is being prepared now. According to the memorial’s project, it will represent a map of the district. There will be thirteen boulders (according to the number of rural districts) with the names of the 250 vanished villages of Vileika District, reports “Narodnaya Hazeta”.
Let us note that the villages disappeared during the last war and in the post-war period when young people moved to cities to look for jobs and a better life.
