29 monuments including 18 Lenins to be dismantled in Kiev
Kiev authorities are planning to dismantle 29 monuments. 18 monuments to Lenin are among them. “Vladimir Ilich Lenin has nothing to do with Kiev, - says a deputy of the City Council Sergei Rudik. – He never visited Kiev and he never even passed through Kiev”.
Two monuments to Nadezhda Krupskaya and Derzhinski will also be dismantled.
However, the plan has to be approved by Kiev City Council and the Council of Ministers first.
