5.2 million tons of grain gathered in Belarus
5.218 million tons of grain have been gathered in Belarus. The web site of the Ministry of Agriculture and Nutrition has informed about it. 1.717 million hectares have been harvested. It is 75.2% of the general amount of grain-crops and leguminous plants. The average crop capacity reached 30.5 centners per hectare.
The best crop capacity has been registered in Hrodna Region – 36.4 centners per one hectare. The biggest amount of fields has been harvested in Brest, Homel and Hrodna Regions – 82.7%, 81.6% and 81.3% respectively.
“BelTA” informs that this rate of harvesting will not be enough to finish it by the middle of August. It is necessary to increase the rate to 5-7% per day which means about 100 hectares across the country.
