Raids against illegal cutting down of fur-trees will start in Belarus on Monday, December 17. People caught “red-handed” with an axe will be fined for 10-50 base amounts (that is from 350 thousands to 1 million 750 thousand BRB). Thus, the maximum fine is 800 USD.
Individual entrepreneurs illegally cutting down fur-trees will be fined for sums from 350 thousand to 7 million BRB. Employees of the forest department will perform the raids together with armed policemen, informs BelaPAN.
