992 Belarusians went to work abroad during three months of 2008

992 Belarusian citizens went to work abroad during three months of 2008. For reference: 4270 Belarusian citizens went to work abroad in 2006 and 6125 – in 2007. The majority of them went to the Baltic states, Poland, Russia and Czechia.

At the same time, only 164 people arrived to work in Belarus during three months of 2008. Most of them came from Turkey, Tajikistan, Ukraine, Armenia and Nepal.

Builders, cooks, sportsmen and teachers come to work in Belarus. Moreover, illegal immigrants usually work as builders and cooks in Belarus too.
