About 200 students to study nuclear energy this year

About 200 students will start studying nuclear energy this semester. The head of the department of higher and specialized secondary education of the Belarusian Ministry of Education Yury Miksyuk has informed about it.
According to him, new specializations in the field of nuclear energy will become available in higher educational institutions. It will be possible to choose among basic and profound classes for future employees of nuclear power stations.

Specialists are likely to get basic education abroad. Miksyuk noted that educational institutions “would give education to a great number of students, but not everyone would be able to find placement: the choice of nuclear power station staff members is very careful”.
