About 40% of private entrepreneurs have gone on strike
About 40% of private entrepreneurs are taking part in the national prevention strike in Belarus today. According to the head of the organization “For Free Business Development” Victar Harbachou, part of entrepreneurs have stopped working in Minsk, Barysau, Slutsk, Salihorsk, Pinsk and Vitsebsk. Private entrepreneurs are expressing their disagreement with the authorities taking decisions about small-scale business and planning innovations (private entrepreneurs will work like legal entities starting from 2009), notes BelaPAN.
Participants of the strike demand that the authorities should adopt a law on small and medium-scale business. An action “Entrepreneurs’ March” will take place in Minsk on December 15. Its participants will also protest against new working conditions of private entrepreneurs.
