Activist: Prosecutor's office should be held responsible, if Autukhovich dies
Aliaksandr Kamarouski and Aleh Vouchak, the co-chairmen of the Motherland's Defenders organizing committee, today issued a new demand to Prosecutor General Ryhor Vasilevich, asking to release the entrepreneurs from Vaukavysk.
“If he dies, the prosecutor's office should be held responsible", Vouchak said.
He insists that an independent international commssion should be set up to investigate the circumstances of the case. A relevant recommendation was made by the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe on June 23.
After 75 days of hunger strike, Autukhovich has serious problems, especially with his teeth.
Despite a catastrophic health condition, he refuses to end the hunger strike.
