Amendments to law on radiation security of Belarusian population are made

Changes and amendments to the law “On radiation security of the population” were approved in the second reading by the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus on Tuesday. It is noted that the new law is gaining relevance in connection with the prospect of construction of a nuclear power plant in our country. A single state regulation structure is planned to be created to register and control the radiation dose. The terms of preservation of radioactive waste are also denoted in the law. It is forbidden to keep them in water bodies, in preserves, national reserves and wildlife preservations, informs BelTA.
