American Emanuel Zeltzer not amnestied yet
The administration of Mahileu colony an American citizen Emanuel Zeltzer is serving his sentence in has no reason for considering the application of the amnesty to him.
According to his lawyer Zmitser Harachka, Minsk City Court should send a reference about the absence of appeals in Zeltzer’s case to the colony. Than the administration will have a formal right to decide whether he can be amnestied, informs BelaPAN.
The lawyer thinks that Zeltzer can be amnestied. The American sentenced to three eyras of imprisonment for using fake documents and commercial spying attempts last year has already served a third of his sentence (the law on amnesty demands a quarter).
