Amnesty International to send paper storks to Belarus interior minister
Amnesty International has launched a new campaign in support of Zmicier Dashkevich, the political prisoner in Belarus. The organization's activists are to send one thousand paper storks to the Belarus's Interior Minister Uladzimir Navumau, thus demanding to release the youth activist.
Amnesty International has urged the authorities in Belarus to restore the freedom of expression and to release immediately and unconditionally all those who are behind bars for their peaceful and legal expression of their political views.
Amnesty International have called on all people of good will to join its Make Some Noise campaign and make paper stokes in support of Zmicier Dashkevich.
If one makes one thousands storks, the dreams come true, according to the legend which appeared after the nuclear bombings of Hirosima and Nagasaki for sick Japanese teenagers who suffered from radioactive exposure and dreamt about recovery.
