Ancient cannons dug up in central Minsk (photo)
Workers, involved in the reconstruction of an old building in central Minsk, dug up 200-year-old cannons, writes Respublika newspaper.
When a grazer hit something four-meters deep, the builders did not initially think that they would have to send their find to a museum. A crane and a truck were dispatched to remove the cannons.
Each cannon is reported to weigh almost 400 kg. Historians have not come up with a clear answer yet where the cannons were manufactured. However, they are certain that the cannons were not made by either France or Russia.
