Another entrepreneurs’ protest action to take place in Minsk today
Private entrepreneurs are going to organize one more protest action at Kastrychnitskaya Square in Minsk today. Participants of the previous action set the meeting for 12 p.m.
However, the authorities have been trying to disrupt the meeting and have been conducting preventive detentions for ten days. About 50 people have already been imprisoned. 6 youth activists were detained near the prison in Akrestsina Street on Saturday. Their trials will take place today.
Moreover, activists of the entrepreneurs’ movement Alyaksandr Rubchenya and Anatol Zmitrovich detained on Friday will also stand trial today. Zmitrovich has gone on a hunger strike. Both are accused of using bad language.
A number of opposition activists and entrepreneurs have received notices of appointment for January 21. They think the authorities are planning to detain them somewhere during the action.
