Association of Italian Slavists demands to release Nyaklyayeu
Sharing the appeal of the Polish PEN-club about Belarus, The Association of Italian Slavists has sent an appeal to the Belarusian authorities. It is signed by the President of the Association and 56 members – Italian university professors teaching Slavic disciplines, reports LitAccent.
"We are urging the Belarusian government to release the poet immediately and to guarantee medical assistance to him. We are urging to stop the harsh repressions directed against opposition representatives, adherents and journalists and to restore the guarantee of human rights”, - is said in the statement.
