Austrian companies set to invest in Belarus economy

A delegation of representatives from seven Austrian companies visited Minsk on a business mission on June 2-3. The visit was organized by the Belarusian-Austrian Society and the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce, reports Belapan. The head of the Austrian delegation, Helmut Meyerhoffer, said in a statement that at least three companies were set to invest in the Belarusian ecnomy. One of the companies operates in the estate sector and is interested in constructing hotels and business centers. The second company specializes in the production of construction materials and plans to acquire the shares of an enterprise in operation or to found a new company. The third company plans to shift production of electric appliances to Belarus.
