Authorities in Brest offer awards for catching graffiti painters

Awards are often to those who will help catch graffiti painters in Brest, reports Belta. The move has been caused by the alarming scale of graffiti painted on the walls and fences. In 2007, the youngsters spoiled the facades of 254 buildings. Over Br41 million were spent to clean them up. This year, 217 buildings have been damaged.

The housing and communal authorities said vigilant workers would be a awarded a bonus of $Br300,000 for helping catch the graffiti painters.
