Autuhovich thinks his case was trumped up by “high-ranking official”

Mikalai Autuhovich thinks that the case of Uladzimir Asipenka, Mihail Kazlou and him was fabricated by “a high-ranking official and a group of officials”. He claimed it in the Supreme Court on March 23. The case of the Vaukavysk entrepreneur is being considered there. According to BelaPAN, Autuhovich claimed that he had been accused of getting ready for a terrorist act only because of the evidence of two witnesses – some Pautarak and Alyaksandr Laryn. Investigators exercised pressure on them in order to accuse Autuhovich, Asipenka and Kazlou.

Autuhovich does not refute the fact that he collected information about the deputy Minister of Taxation Vasil Kamyanko and the former governor of Hrodna Province Uladzimir Sauchanka. He noted that it was caused by the fact that Kamyanko tried to destroy Autuhovich’s business using illegal means many times and by corruption in Vaukavysk.

According to Autuhovich, he sent the collected materials to KGB, the Office of the Public Prosecutor, the Security Council and even to the state leader many times but nobody reacted to the facts of corruption. The only person who dealt with it was Mihail Kazlou who was the head of the Organized Crime Prevention Department in Hrodna Province. Autuhovich claimed that he thinks the trial is an act of revenge for his activities aimed at the revelation of corruption in Vaukavysk.
