Average earnings decrease by 1.5% in Belarus
The Belarusian average earnings totaled 906 thousand 117 roubles in February 2009. It was 919 thousand 637 roubles in January 2009.
Thus, average earnings decreased by 1.5% or by 13.5 thousand roubles over one month. The earnings of blue and white-collar workers were 924 thousand 935 roubles in February (939 thousand 46 roubles - in January 2009).
Average earnings at industrial enterprises were 1 million 6.1 thousand roubles in February 2009; at building enterprises – 1 million 181.3 thousands, transport enterprises – 1 million 64.6 thousands, agricultural enterprises – 574 thousands and 784.4 thousands – at public catering and commercial enterprises.
Healthcare institutions employees received 712.5 thousand roubles. Doctors received 1 million 243.2 thousands, paramedical personnel – 689.3 thousand roubles, nurses – 427.3 thousands. Employees of educational institutions received 674.1 thousand roubles. Pedagogical employees were paid 751.8 thousands, teachers – 806.9 thousands and teaching staff - 1 million 399.3 thousand roubles.
