Azaranka preserves 8th position in rating, Williams will lose leadership soon
A new rating of the World Tennis association has been published. The top-10 has not changed.
Serena Williams is still the first (9132 points), Dinara Safina from Russia is the second (8932), and Russian Yelena Dementieva occupies the third position (7561). Belarusian Victoria Azaranka has preserved her record 8th position with 4670 points.
RIA “Novosti” notes that Serena Williams is spending her last days in the first place of the WTA rating. She has managed to stay there but she will be left behind by Russian Dinara Safina in seven days.
