Baltika: No shadow exports for Russian beer producers in Belarus
The Russian companies that supply beer to Belarus do not use shadow schemes, Alexei Kedrin, the representative of Russia's famous brewery Baltika, told the Russian news agency Ria Novosti. He said 'gray' schemes to bring the Russian beer into Belarus have not been in use for a long time.
On Tuesday, Alena Masurnouskaya of Belarus' State Control Committee, said that 20 percent of the Russian beer was sold in Belarus using shadow schemes. She claimed that Belarus lost around Br15 billion (over $5 million) this year in unpaid import duties.
