Barscheuski: Popular Front may revise decision to withdraw candidates
Popular Front leader Lyavon Barscheuski does not rule out that the party's decision to withdraw candidates from the elections could be revised.
In an interview with the European Radio for Belarus, he said:
“The party's congress will gather for a meeting on September 20. If the whole party or individual members come up with strong arguments that the previous decision should be revised and the majority decides to do so, our decision (to withdraw) will be revised as regards the whole party or some of members. But as of today, we have this decision to withdraw and we are implementing it”.
Yesterday, several Popular Front candidates appealed to the party's leadership, asking to revise the party's decision to boycott the upcoming parliamentary elections after September 23.
