Barysau election commissions refuse to register new observers
Opposition structures' observers are refused in 24-hours observation at election precincts in Barysau. The commissions even refused to register new observers at one of them. The coordinator of the "For Fair Election-2010" campaign in Minsk region Mikalaj Pakhabau has told about this.
Representatives of the opposition structures submitted applications for 24-hours observation in order to provide safety to the ballot-boxes yesterday morning, at 9 election precincts. All the applications were declined in the evening, said Pakhabau.
As for Mikalaj Pakhabau himself, the representatives of the election precinct No. 12 refused to register him as an observer from a trade union. The member of the election commission explianed the refusal by the fact that the election had already started so no new observers would be registered. Pakhabau suggested she should consult the Electoral Code, but there was none at the precinct, informs the human rights center "Viasna".
