BATE: Bliznyuk's rib fracture not confirmed

The exact diagnosis of Henadz Bliznyuk's injury in yesterday's match against Anderlecht in the Champions League quialification round is yet to be revealed. Bliznyuk came on the pitch after injury in a special Germany-made mask, scored the first goal and was immediately injured again. BATE Borisov came out as a winner after drawing 2:2 at home and winning Anderlecht 2:1 away in Brussels in the first leg. BATE will have to beat Lewski (Bulgaria) in the next round in order to qualify for the group stage. Reports suggested yesterday that Bliznyuk suffered a rib fracture and was sent for scan. BATE told the European Radio for Belarus the following:

"The diagnosis was not confirmed. Or to put it more exactly, there is no exact diagnosis yet. T^he scan showed that Bliznyuk might have received a heavy knock or suffered a rib crack. More information will be available in the afternoon.
