Belarus bears losses because of Polish customs officers’ strike

Belarus is bearing losses in connection with the strike of Polish customs officers and forced stoppage of cars on the Polish side of the border.
The deputy head of Transport Inspection of Belarus Leanid Lemesh informed about it. According to him, the queue of cars wishing to enter Belarus at Kazlovichy check-point is 25 kilometers long, in Bruzhi and Babrouna - 5 kilometers long.

According to the information he possesses, about 500 cars pass through check-points Bruzhi and Kazlovichy in the direction of our country every day.

A day of stoppage of every car costs the transporter 200-300 dollars and the sum may be much bigger because the company violates the terms of delivery, said Lemesh.

He noted that the losses of Belarus will be assessed after the problem is settled.
