Belarus to buy hardware from Russia, other countries

The Belarusian military plans to buy missile systems similar to Russia's Iskander (NATO reporting name SS-26 Stone) short-range missiles, Syarhey Hurulyou, deputy defense minister said. He denied plans to site Russian Iskander missiles on the Belarusian territory.   General Hurulyou said Belarus also plans to buy state-of-the-art Russian-made Tor and S-400 missiles. He added that procurement will not be limited to Russian equipment, noting that Belarus will look for cutting-edge technologies in other countries.
