Belarus coach eyes golden cup in UAE

The first ice hockey championship in the history of Arab nations will kick off on Monday in Dubai, the capital of the United Arab Emirates. Four national teams -- UAE, Kuweit, Algerie and Morocco -- will compete for the cup made of pure gold. Former coach of Dinamo Minsk, Yury Faikov has managed the Emirates teams for the past eight years.

The Russian news agency Ria-Novosti reports that the Belarusian hopes that his players will become the first team to lift the Arab Champions' Cup. Runners-up will be awarded with a pure-silver cup. Even the losers will receive cash prizes.
