Belarus cuts potato supplies to Tatarstan
Belarus has cut by a half the exports of potato to Tatarstan without giving any explanations. During the recent visit by Tatarstan's president Rustam Minikhanov to Minsk, the sides agreed at the highest level that Belarus would supply 100,000 tons of potato to to Tatarstan. But, the Tatar web site prokazan.ru reports the Belarusian side is now promising to supply only 40,000 tons.
According to Ilsur Metshyin, Kazan Mayor, the exports of potato from Belarus would begin in September.
