Belarus elected member of UNESCO Executive Board
Belarus has been elected member of the UNESCO Executive Board. It is the organization’s governing body that takes necessary decisions between sessions of the General conference, reports BelTA.
Members of the Executive Board are elected for a four-year term of office. The Executive Board gathers twice a year to examine the program of work adopted at the General conference (it is organized twice a year).
UNESCO is an important forum where Belarus can establish contacts and exchange information in the field of education, science, culture and information.
