Belarus elections set for Sep 28

Belarus President Alexander Lukashenka has officially approved the parliamentary elections to take place on September 28, 2008. He also signed a decree, allowing the political parties in Belarus to participate in the work of the Central Elections Commission with the right of an advisory vote.  The parties that have nominated their candidates are entitled to sending one party representative to take part in the Central Elections Commission.
