Belarus fire-fighting chopper returns home from Greece
The Belarus Emergencies Ministry has successfully completed an assistance mission to help fight forest fires in Greece. A Belarusian helicpoter yesterday landed at a base airfield after having made a 1700km-long trip, reports Belta. The Emergencies Ministry's chopper took off from Belarus on June 14.
Greece traditionally seeks assistance from the other nations to fight massive forest fires during the summer season. A total of 15 Belarusians, including 9 helicopter crew and 6 ground support staff, took part in the mission.
