Belarus firefighters head to Russia to help curb wildfires

A group of rescue workers from Belarus on August 5 took off to the Ryazan region of Russia to help fight wildwires. 150 specialists and 26 vehicles as well as MI-8 firefighting helicopters were dispatched to the neighboring country, reports Belapan news agency.

Belarusian firefighters will stay in Russia until wildfires are extinguished or until Russia refuses from their help.

Besides, 2 Mi-26 helicopters are now in Greece to help extinguish forest fires there.
