Belarus gets $1mn for downed plane in Somalia

Belarus's Transaviaexport received almost $1 million in insurance for its Ilyushin-76 cargo plane which was downed by a rebel missile in Somalia in March, reports ONT. The compensation was paid only for the second plane, because the first one, also damaged in Somalia, had not been insured.

The Belarusian Ilyushin-76 cargo planes were part of the UN mission in this African country.
