Belarus girl dies of 'swine flu'
The health ministry of Belarus has declined a comment on this incident.
The Vecherny Grodno newspaper reports that the girl, named Dashs, deteriorated and died within 14 days. She passed away in the Grodno Regional Children's Hospital. Forensic experts detected that the 'swine flue' virus was the cause of the death. However, the tragedy occurred in September 2008 when no one heard about this virus. Neither the friends of the relatives of this family traveled abroad where they could theoretically pick the virus.
The Ministry of Health has released no comments on this case. The World Health Organization has provided not comments, either. The police has been investigating the actions of the doctor who allegedly was neglectful over the deteriorating health conditions of the girl.
