Belarus has no plans to join EU in near future
Belarusian Foreign Minister Siarhei Martynau said on Monday that Belarus does not set a task of joining the European Union in the foreseen future. The Belarus high-ranking official stressed that at the recent meeting with the European Union's troika Belarus confirmed its positite attitude toward the idea of the Eeastern Partnsership and saw a constructive nucleus in it. But all the components of a full-fledged interaction in our whole regions should be implemented on the equal basis.
Martynau said a parallel process of fine-tuning the main document of the Eastern Parthership projet was currently under way. At this stage, future potential participants of the partnership has already been invited to take part in the development of the program.
