Belarus has received the first part of IMF’s credit - $788 million
Belarus has received the first part of the IMF’s credit of 787.9 million dollars, informs BelTA.
Let us remind you that the IMF is going to give Belarus a stabilization credit of 2.5 billions for 15 months.
Our country asked for the credit in October 2008 in order to increase its gold and foreign currency reserves and to create “a safety pillow” needed for stable functioning of the economy during the world financial crisis.
The money will be added to the gold and foreign currency reserves of the country and used to support the exchange rate of the Belarusian rouble.
