Belarus to increase customs duties for vehicles

Customs duties for the import of vehicles by legal and physical entities are likely to be increased by the end of May in Belarus. The increase will amount to EUR 0.05 per one cubic centimeter of the engine.
For example, an additional EUR100 will have to be paid when the imported vehicle's engine is 2 liters. If the engine is 1.6 liters, the additional charge will amount to EUR80.

Relevant documents have already been drafted by the Belarusian government. The measure aims to refill the national budget. It is believed that the measure could help collect additional EUR15 million annually, reports www.prime-tass.ru
