Belarus intellectuals demand release of Vaukavysk entrepreneurs
The Council of Belarusian Intellectuals has appealed to politicians in Belarus, EU and the United States to launch a campaign of international solidarity with Mikalai Autukhovich, Yury Liavonau and Uladzimir Asipenka. The council said in a statement that due to the hunger strike (since April 16), the life of Autukhovich is under a serious threat, while the health condition of Liavonau and Asipenka has deteriorated. The council of Belarusian intellectuals reckons that no program, including the Eastern Partnership, is not worth of the health of political prisoners, because human life is the highest value, reports Belapan.
The list of those who signed the statement includes Uladzimir Kolas, Yury Khaschavatski, Alexander Kozulin, Radzim Haretski.
