Belarus is ready to invite one or two OSCE specialists in crime detection so that they could look through all the materials of the case started in connection with the death of a journalist Aleh Byabenin. Our country will make a corresponding statement at a plenary session of the OSCE Permanent Council on September 9. The press secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Andrei Savinyh has claimed it at a briefing today.
Savinyh: "Belarusian competent organs are very responsible for this investigation; everything is done according to the law and on the level of internationally recognized standards. The invitation of foreign experts is an unexampled step in the legal practice of Belarus and others states. It is caused by our anxiety in connection with various speculations and insinuations not only in mass media, but also in statements of some representatives of international structures. We are sure that unbiased conclusions of the invited experts will eliminate all biased appraisals and tendentious explanations of the course and results of the investigation”.
