Belarus, Lithuania plan to build liquefied gas terminal in Klaipeda
Belarus and Lithuania plan to build a joint terminal to liquefy natural gas in the Baltic Sea port of Klapeda, Belarus PM Syarhei Sidorski said on June 28 when launching an OMA hypermarket that was constructed with participation of Lithuanian capital in Minsk. "We can combine financial resources in order to build in the port of Klaipeda a plant to liquefy natural gas and to transport via pipelines to Belarus. 285 km of a pipeline do not require a huge funding. The project is feasible and very efficient", Belarus premier said.
Lithuanian PM Andrus Kubiljus was also present at the hypermarket launch in Minsk.
