Belarus to manufacture bricks, tractors, trucks in Venezuela

Belarus plans to finish constructing three factories in Venezuela by mid 2011 that will produce bricks, tractors and trucks, Belarus' first deputy prime minister Uladzimir Syamashka said in a statement during the meeting between Venezuela's president Hugo Chavez and the members of the bilateral commission on trade and economic cooperation. The official Belarusian news agency BELTA reports that the Venezuela leader said in return that Belarus could increase oil drilling in his country up to 20,000 barrels per day. Currently, the two countries' joint venture drills nearly 15,000 barrels of oil per day.

According to Belarus leader Alexander Lukashenka, the crude oil from Venezuela will be shipped to refineries in Belarus.

Chavez also said that Venezuela was ready to import 10,0000 tons of milk powder from Belarus this year. He also expressed interest to buy wheat from Belarus. Venezuela could supply tropical fruits, coffee and cacao.
