Belarus open ice hockey championship to begin on Sep 7
The Belarusian Ice Hockey Federation (BIHF) has released the schedule and procedures of the 19th Ice Hockey Open Championship. The tournament in Extra League will start on September 7 when Yunost Minsk and Shakhtiot Soligorsk will clash in an opener, reports BELTA. The rest of the matches will be played on September 8. 12 teams from three countries will play in Extra League this year: Yunost Minsk, Shkhtior Soligorsk, HC Gomel, Sokol Kiev, Khimvolokno Mogilyov, Neman Grodno, HC Vitebsk, Metalurg Zhlobin, Metalurgs Latvia, HC Brest, Shinnik Bobruisk and Khimik-SKA Novopolotsk.
