Belarus to pay debt for Russian gas till July 23
Belarus will have to pay the debt to a Russian enterprise “Gazprom” till July 23.
Our country’s debt is 400 million USD. The Belarusian vice Prime Minister Uladzimir Syamashka informed about it yesterday.
According to him, the situation is rather difficult but the government will find a way out. The Minister of Finance Mikalai Korbut informed that “Beltransgaz” was collecting money to pay the debt to “Gazprom” at a special account of the Ministry of Finance in the National Bank of Belarus.
According to the Minister, this money will be enough to pay the debt.
At the same time, Korbut mentioned the problem of conversion of the money as it was being collected in Belarusian rubles while they will have to pay “Gazprom” in USD.
