Belarus rescuers win international tournament
The team from Belarus's Emergency Ministry has become the world champion in the fire-fighting and rescue international tournament.
The competition took place in Bulgaria's capital Sofia and had participants from 13 teams, including Belarus, Bulgaria, the Baltic countriues, Germany, Russia, Kazakhstan and Iran.
Belarus's rescuers competed in four disciplines and were the best in three of them: 100-meter hurdles, climbing a fire-fighting ladder and a relay. The Belarusians broke several world records both as a team and individually.
Beltat notes that this year's championship was the forth in a row. Rescuers from Belarus won three championships.
